I help agencies and product teams turn complex requirements into well-architected, production-ready systems — across e-commerce, SaaS, healthcare, and media. 15+ years of end-to-end delivery, from technical scoping through to launch.
Most engineering engagements fail not because the code is bad — but because the wrong thing gets built. I specialise in closing that gap: taking a client's actual problem, defining the right architecture, and seeing it through to delivery.
8+ years as a Solutions Architect at a Tokyo digital agency, running concurrent accounts across e-commerce, healthcare, and media. Since 2010, a parallel independent practice covering SaaS builds, headless architectures, and ongoing infrastructure for direct clients.
I communicate clearly, work across timezones without friction, and bring the same rigour to a small retainer as a large build.
A curated selection. Most client work is confidential. These represent the range and depth I work with regularly.
SaaS platform letting agencies onboard clients, receive form submissions from multiple websites, and route scored leads via customised email templates. Architected multi-tenant data isolation, async workers, and spam scoring — stays responsive under spikes.
Multiple store builds and rebuilds from scratch with custom Liquid themes, third-party system integrations via Shopify REST and GraphQL APIs, custom pixel events, and conversion-focused UX improvements.
Multi-org internal tool with auth-token onboarding, visual tap-area editor, and rich menu switching across organisations. Built with a clean TypeScript stack and Supabase for real-time data.
Multi-step application portal for a medical facility — complex conditional form logic, custom user roles, submission workflows and admin management. Fully built in WordPress with custom code, no bloat.
Modern Next.js frontend consuming WordPress REST API as a headless CMS. React-powered UX with WordPress editorial control — best of both worlds for a health and wellbeing brand.
Remediated a CVSS 10.0 Next.js RCE (CVE GHSA-9qr9-h5gf-34mp) across three production containers on Oracle Cloud, and stabilised a compromised WooCommerce site covering bot traffic, serialised-data contamination, and caching issues.
Most developers wait for a ticket. I'd rather understand the problem first — then design the right solution and build it. This is how I've delivered for agencies and clients for 15 years.
I read the brief, ask the right questions, and map the actual requirement — not just the stated one.
I design the solution: which tools, which patterns, what to avoid. I write this up so clients and teams are aligned before a line of code is written.
Clean, maintainable code. Custom when needed, off-the-shelf when it makes sense. I own the implementation.
Tested, documented, and handed over properly. Projects end — but they should leave behind something the client can actually maintain.
"Yet again — Muazzam was simply excellent to deal with. His knowledge and experience is simply invaluable. I cannot recommend him highly enough."
"Muazzam is proactive and organised. He can handle many balls in the air. He made me believe that we can reorganise our work — and finally we are on track."
"Knowledgeable, helpful, fair, honest individual. Will continue to work with you when it comes to web development."
"Very fast and highly professional. Will use again!"
I work with agencies and product teams on a consultancy basis — project engagements, ongoing retainers, and technical advisory. You bring the problem; I scope it, architect it, and build it.
Whether that's a single scoping engagement, a full build, or an embedded technical lead arrangement — the starting point is always a conversation about what you're actually trying to solve.
Start a conversationThe best engagements start with a conversation, not a brief. Drop me an email with what you're working on, or book a 20-minute call — no forms, no friction. Based in Japan (UTC+9) with EU afternoon overlap.
